Newport News, VA Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and experienced House Manager / Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to oversee the daily operations of our residential senior care home in Newport News, Virginia. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring exceptional resident care, supervising day-to-day staff activities, coordinating medication management, and maintaining a safe, supportive environment for residents. The ideal candidate is a Certified Medication Aide in Virginia with strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for providing high-quality care to seniors. Qualifications Certified Medication Aide (CMA) in the State of Virginia (required) Minimum of 3 years of experience in an assisted living, independent living, or senior care community Strong knowledge of medication administration and resident care Leadership experience with the ability to lead by example Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills CPR certification Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare providers, residents, families, and staff Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day operations of the residence to ensure quality care and smooth workflow Supervise and support Personal Care Aide, providing guidance and leadership Administer medications in accordance with Virginia regulations and company policies Refill, organize, and prepare 30-day medication supplies accurately Monitor residents for changes in condition and communicate promptly with the Nurse Practitioner (NP) regarding any concerns Ensure accurate documentation of medication administration and resident care Maintain medication and resident care Manage inventory and oversee ordering of medical, medication, and household supplies Foster a positive, respectful, and resident-centered environment Excellent customer service to retain and recruit residents What We're Looking For The successful candidate is dependable (must have transportation), compassionate, and takes pride in providing exceptional care.
