ASAP About the Position We are a growing, independently owned Primary Care, Mental Health, and Wellness practice in Chandler looking for a dependable and motivated Medical Assistant to join our team. New Medical Assistant graduates are strongly encouraged to apply. We are happy to train the right candidate. Previous experience is helpful, but it is not as important to us as reliability, professionalism, attention to detail, and willingness to learn. This is an excellent opportunity for a new graduate who wants hands-on experience, mentorship, and the opportunity to grow with a medical practice. Who We Are Looking For Our ideal Medical Assistant is someone who: Is reliable and punctual Has a strong work ethic Is friendly, compassionate, and professional with patients Pays close attention to details Takes ownership of assigned responsibilities Is organized and able to multitask Accepts feedback and learns quickly Takes notes and follows established workflows Communicates when something is incomplete or needs attention Is comfortable working independently after training Wants a stable position and an opportunity to grow with the practice Enjoys working in a small-team environment Dependability and consistent attendance are essential for this position. Responsibilities/Clinical Duties Check in, room patients and prepare them for provider visits Obtain and document vital signs Review medications, allergies, and patient information Help with PAP smear Perform EKGs Administer IM and subcutaneous injections Assist with point-of-care testing Prepare examination rooms Clean and restock rooms between patients Maintain clinical supplies and inventory Assist providers with procedures as needed Follow infection-control and patient-safety procedures Our practice provides services including primary care, mental health, weight management, and wellness. Depending on training and assigned duties, the MA may assist with medications/injections used within these services. Administrative Duties Schedule and confirm appointments Answer and route telephone calls Communicate with patients professionally Assist with patient portal messages Obtain and update patient information Assist with insurance verification Collect copays and patient balances Process referrals Assist with prior authorizations Scan and organize medical documents Complete assigned tasks accurately and on time Communicate unfinished or urgent tasks to the appropriate team member

Qualifications Required:

Completion of or current graduation from a Medical Assistant program, or equivalent applicable experience Professional and compassionate communication skills Dependable transportation and ability to report to work consistently and on time Ability to follow detailed instructions and established workflows Comfortable learning new technology and an electronic medical record system Preferred but not required: Injection experience EKG experience Primary care experience Behavioral/mental health experience EMR experience Prior authorization and insurance experience New graduates are welcome.
