Hours Per Week Work Location:

Onsite in Downey, CA CRT Programs is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant with a strong psychiatric background to join our team at our 16-bed residential treatment program in Downey, California. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity for an experienced psychiatric provider who wants to work closely with a manageable client population while playing an important role in each client's treatment, medication management, and overall psychiatric stability. •85 per hour Full-time, 40-hour-per-week position Consistent onsite work location in Downey Small 16-bed residential program Opportunity to develop meaningful continuity of care with clients Focused psychiatric treatment and medication-management role Collaborative behavioral health treatment environment What You'll Do You will provide onsite psychiatric care and medication management for clients in our residential program.

Responsibilities include:

Provide psychiatric care onsite each scheduled workday Conduct psychiatric assessments and follow-up visits Meet with clients and document visits in the EHR Reconcile medications for new admissions Prescribe, adjust, and manage psychiatric medications as clinically appropriate Monitor medication effectiveness, side effects, interactions, and client response Review and audit medication records and dispensing logs for accuracy Administer medications and complete required medication documentation when applicable Collaborate with the treatment team regarding client needs and changes in condition Provide appropriate clinical intervention during psychiatric crises What We're Looking For We are seeking a provider with strong hands-on psychiatric experience, particularly treating individuals with serious and complex mental health conditions, including: Schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder Psychotic disorders Bipolar disorder and mania Major depressive disorder, including suicidal ideation Severe anxiety disorders ADHD Other complex psychiatric conditions Candidates should have strong expertise in psychiatric medication management, including dosing, indications, contraindications, side effects, interactions, monitoring, and medication safety. Required Qualifications Current, unrestricted California Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license Current DEA registration with appropriate prescribing authority Master's degree or other qualifying graduate-level education for licensure At least 3 years of psychiatric medication-management experience Strong psychiatric assessment and clinical decision-making skills Excellent communication and documentation skills Ability to effectively manage psychiatric crises Ability to work onsite in Downey, California, 40 hours per week If you are an experienced psychiatric NP or PA looking for a full-time opportunity with strong compensation, consistent hours, and a smaller residential client population, we would like to hear from you!
