Purpose Behavioral respite provides temporary relief for families and caregivers of children with behavioral challenges by offering skilled care and supervision. Utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies, the respite aims to support positive behavior, ensure safety, and reinforce developmental goals. Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Behavioral Respite Provider to join our team. The role involves providing care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting. Late afternoons, evenings, and weekends are highly desirable for families seeking respite care, so these are the typical hours worked. However, we do offer daytime hours also if that fits the availability of the family. Starting number of hours would be 10-20 hours a week with the opportunity to expand to full-time hours if desired. This is a great job for someone looking to supplement their current job. Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and housekeeping
• Implement behavioral support plans to address challenging behaviors
• Engage individuals in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and skill development
• Ensure the safety and well-being of residents at all times
• Maintain documentation of daily activities and progress notes Skills
• Experience in caregiving or working with individuals with developmental disabilities
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary
• Knowledge of patient care practices and resident rights
• Proficiency in working with people on the autism spectrum
• Capability to provide meal preparation and maintain a clean living environment
