Key Qualifications & Experience:

Valid Delaware Paraeducator Permit required (must be in hand at the time of application; candidates with permits "pending" must provide a DEEDS portal screenshot). Experience working as a paraprofessional, ideally in a special education or autism support classroom. Ability to provide patient, consistent support to students with a range of learning and behavioral needs. Willingness to complete a $85 criminal background check and fingerprinting prior to start. Candidates with RBT certification must secure their own BCBA supervision outside of school hours if maintaining certification. Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide direct support to students in a BRIDGES autism support classroom under the guidance of classroom teachers and specialists. Assist with classroom routines, educational activities, and individualized student support. Implement behavior management strategies as directed by the educational team. Foster a nurturing, encouraging environment meeting diverse student needs. Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct.
