Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, and other self-care routines to promote independence. Collect and record behavioral data accurately during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments. Implement applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy protocols tailored to individual client needs, ensuring consistency and effectiveness. Support clients with autism spectrum disorders and other neurodevelopmental disorders through direct behavioral therapy and behavior management techniques. Collaborate with supervisors to develop, review, and update individualized care plans aligned with client goals. Maintain detailed medical documentation, behavioral records, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality. Communicate effectively with clients' families, caregivers, educators, and team members to promote consistency across environments such as home, school, or community settings. Skills Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities in clinical or educational settings. Strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management strategies, and autism spectrum disorders support. Ability to assist with ADLs and implement behavior intervention plans confidently. Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and medical documentation standards. Familiarity with HIPAA compliance to ensure privacy and confidentiality of client information. Excellent client communication skills coupled with patience and empathy when working with diverse populations. Home-based behavioral experience is a plus; familiarity with school environments is highly valued.
