We're looking for a Front Desk Administrative Assistant to be the friendly face and backbone of our behavioral health clinic. In this role, you'll play a vital part in supporting clients, clinicians, and the overall operations of our practice—making a real impact on the lives of those we serve. This isn't just a desk job. You'll gain hands-on experience in behavioral health administration , learn about CARF standards, COMAR regulations , and work with therapy documentation systems like TherapyNotes —all while being part of a supportive and collaborative team dedicated to quality care. What You'll Do Be the first point of contact for clients, referral sources, and providers, creating a welcoming environment Schedule appointments, coordinate care plans, and manage calendars using EMR systems such as TherapyNotes Support referral intake and new client onboarding , ensuring smooth transitions into care Verify insurance coverage , including Medicaid and private plans, to keep services running seamlessly Maintain accurate client records and therapy documentation in compliance with HIPAA and behavioral health standards Assist clinicians with tracking treatment plans, notes, and documentation deadlines Help the office stay organized and compliant with CARF and COMAR regulations Provide outstanding customer service with a warm, professional approach What We're Looking For Experience in front desk, medical office, or behavioral health administration Familiarity with EMR systems — TherapyNotes experience is a big plus Knowledge of behavioral health terminology and documentation standards Understanding of HIPAA and confidentiality requirements Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve our diverse client population Bonus Skills Prior experience in a behavioral health clinic or mental health office Familiarity with CARF accreditation standards and COMAR regulations Experience reviewing or tracking therapy notes Passion for supporting clinicians and improving client care Why You'll Love Working With Us Be part of a dynamic and supportive team committed to high-quality mental health care Opportunity to grow your skills in behavioral health administration On-the-job training and professional development opportunities Make a tangible difference in the lives of clients every day In-person position in Ellicott City, MD—connect directly with your community
