This full-time, full-school year contract opportunity has you working directly with a female student with significant disabilities in a supportive classroom environment. Your patience, kindness, and understanding will help create a positive and safe educational experienceessential qualities for success in this role. Responsibilities include assisting the student with daily activities, academic tasks, behavioral management, and personal care, such as toileting, lifting, and feeding. The student is non-verbal, faces various challenges, and may occasionally express frustration physically, but youll be supported by a collaborative team of educators. A female paraprofessional is preferred due to the nature of personal care duties required.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

Para Test Certification, or proof of at least two years of college coursework (60 semester or 90 quarter credits) from an accredited post-secondary institution, or a college degree Experience working with students with disabilities strongly preferred Patience, empathy, and resilience in challenging situations Comfort with hands-on assistance: toileting, lifting, feeding Ability to de-escalate behaviors with a calm and supportive approach Excellent communication and collaboration skills Must be able to attend an in-person interview As part of this contract assignment located near Cottage Grove, MN, youll be making a daily impact and gaining valuable experience in the special education field.
