Responsibilities include:

Designing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each students cognitive, academic, and social-emotional needs Differentiating instruction and utilizing evidence-based strategies to support learners with developmental cognitive disabilities Collaborating with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to foster inclusive environments Engaging in ongoing communication with families, providing resources and support as needed Monitoring student progress and documenting growth to inform instruction and meet compliance standards Managing a caseload of approximately 10 elementary-aged students in a classroom designed for optimal engagement and support Desired skills and qualifications: Valid teaching licensure in Special Education, with specialization in developmental cognitive disabilities (or eligibility for licensure) Prior experience working with elementary-age students and adapting curriculum to diverse learning needs Strong teamwork, organization, and interpersonal skills Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive, and productive classroom environment Youll make an immediate and lasting impact in the lives of young learners while experiencing the reward of seeing students grow and thrive.
