Definition:

As part of Breakthrough Foundations, it is the responsibility of the provider is to provide behavior support services in various settings including school-based, home and community based. Support high-need individuals with autism and related disabilities in achieving their goal. Assisting in implement their individualized behavior goals and behavior intervention plans while promoting Saftey. Promote their dignity, safety, health, and well-being.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education, Training, and Experience:

• A minimum of 1 year experience in working with children, adolescents, and/or adults with autism.

Knowledge of:

• Ethics, laws, and regulations of acceptable behavior interventions
• Interpersonal skills needed to manage crisis situations
• Technology, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ABA software platforms
• Correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling Skills and Abilities to:
• Identify behavioral situations and react according to the behavior plan.
• Objectively analyze crisis situations
• Respond quickly to emergency situations
• Respond to aggressive and self-injurious behaviors of clients
• Communicate effectively with parents and supervising

BCBA/LBA.

• Perform general clerical duties including maintain accurate client records and preparing clear and concise reports
• Communicate effectively in both oral and written form with a diverse group of clients, parents/caregivers, school personnel, and other agency staff
• Work as part of a team within the framework of established guidelines
• Follow guidance from senior level staff to enhance own professional development
• Work with a diverse team of professionals in a respectful manner

Job Duties:

• Provide behavioral services to clients in individual sessions.
• Work with supervising BCBA/LBA and other staff members to implement individualized treatment plans as per agency standards and BACB requirements
• Maintain respect and confidentiality for all clients
• Maintain and protect the well-being of all clients during treatment sessions and when emergency crisis situations arise
• Be able to work with a diverse team of professionals to provide the best behavioral services possible to clients
• Attend staff trainings and agency meetings voluntarily
• Other job duties as assigned by supervisor

Salary/Hourly Rate:

Commensurate with experience.
