In this vital role, you will provide direct support to clients with diverse needs such as alcohol and substance use disorders, mental health conditions, etc. Your dedication will help foster a safe, supportive environment focused on mental health and behavioral well-being. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in patient care, crisis management, and behavioral intervention while working alongside a passionate team committed to positive outcomes. Duties Assist with intake assessments and develop individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs. Monitor and document assistance with self administration of medication , daily activities, daily group sessions, incident reports, etc. Support clients during activities of daily living, including social skills development, behavior management, and client communication. Utilize crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques to ensure safety during behavioral episodes or emergencies. Collect data on client progress, behavior patterns, and treatment responses to inform ongoing care adjustments. Support mental health and behavioral care initiatives through documentation, medical terminology application, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Facilitate group sessions/AA meetings to groups of up to 10 patient Minor housekeeping duties Requirements Experience working with adults within behavioral health residential settings and/or outpatient/inpatient facilities. Knowledge of PTSD care, addiction counseling, substance use disorder treatment, and crisis management techniques. Proficiency in medical documentation, medical terminology, EMR/EHR management systems, and maintaining patient confidentiality under HIPAA standards. Certification in First Aid and CPR Negative Tuberculosis (TB) test results or the ability to obtain 2 step negative results Valid Arizona fingerprint clearance card Strong skills in de-escalation techniques, behavior management, and crisis intervention are essential for success in this role. CPI training Ability to work effectively with adults and diverse populations while demonstrating compassion and professionalism. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and teamwork within a healthcare setting.
