Duties Assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Implement individualized care plans that include behavior management strategies and skill-building exercises Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to track health status Support clients during intake assessments and document medical records accurately following HIPAA guidelines Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to medical terminology standards Conduct crisis intervention and crisis management to de-escalate challenging behaviors effectively Use applied behavior analysis techniques to support clients with autism or developmental disabilities in developing communication and social skills Collect data on client behaviors and progress for ongoing treatment planning and reporting purposes Collaborate with social workers, medical professionals, and family members to coordinate comprehensive care Maintain confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards Experience Prior experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is highly preferred Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and crisis management strategies is essential Familiarity with working with individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder or developmental disabilities is advantageous Experience in medication administration, medical terminology, and medical records management is a plus Background in special education or addiction counseling can enhance your effectiveness in this role Strong communication skills for effective intake procedures and behavioral data collection are required Ability to remain calm under pressure while managing challenging behaviors through behavior management techniques This role is ideal for compassionate individuals eager to grow their expertise in behavioral health while making a positive impact.
