Summary of Responsibilities The Mental Health Technician (MHT) is a key member of our team at Headwaters Behavioral Health's new Children's Residential Treatment Facility. Working with adolescents ages 12-17, the MHT helps maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment. You'll monitor behaviors, document observations, report changes to the clinical team, and help implement interventions under the guidance of licensed clinicians and nursing staff. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, calm under pressure, a strong communicator, and able to use sound judgment in dynamic situations. MHTs are expected to consider each teen's developmental needs, history, and cultural background when providing care. If you're ready to help shape a program that transforms lives, we'd love to have you on our team. Qualifications Must be 18 years or older. High School Diploma or GED required. Two (2) years of as a direct care worker in an inpatient or outpatient Mental/ Behavioral Health facility highly preferred. Obtain and maintain current BLS CPR. Ability to confidently work with youth and adolescent populations. Ability to achieve a high level of cleanliness & safety throughout designated areas. A licensed driver with an automobile that is in good working order to get to and from work in various weather conditions to ensure reliability.
