Job Description
Job Summary:
- The Behavioral Health Technician at Discovery Institute will provide compassionate care and support to individuals with behavioral health issues related to substance abuse. They will assist in monitoring patient progress during detox and rehabilitation, and providing emotional support to individuals in recovery.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience in a behavioral health setting, substance abuse treatment facility, or similar environment preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate and empathetic approach to working with individuals with behavioral health challenges, specifically related to substance abuse
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and document patient behavior and progress during the detox and rehabilitation process Provide emotional support and encouragement to individuals undergoing treatment for drug and alcohol addiction Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for individuals in recovery Adhere to all policies and procedures related to patient care, confidentiality, and substance abuse treatment protocols Participate in training and development activities to enhance job knowledge and skills in the field of substance abuse recovery •
