Job Description

Description:
PrimeCare Medical is currently looking for a Psychiatric Technician to work in the medical department at the Chester County Prison in West Chester, PA. This is a Monday - Friday position, 40 hours per week, during normal business hours. (8:00am-4:30pm).
Job Responsibilities:
The psychiatric technician is responsible for assisting in the coordination and implementation of the behavior health program.
Other duties include:
Responsible for the clinical monitoring, coordination, and implementation of the behavioral health program in accordance with
NCCHC/ACA/MCCS
Standards. Engage inmates/patients in psycho-educational groups and individual encounters, with a focus on seriously mentally ill patients/inmates. Actively assist with the detection and prevention of inmate/patient suicide by reporting concerns to supervisory staff Assist in the coordination of the admission and placement of certified inmates/patients in forensic and community behavioral health facilities. Initiate the paperwork required for the inmates/patient's admission. Document clinical services provided in the electronic medical record in a complete, accurate and timely manner. Monitor inmates/patients on segregation units; particularly those identified as seriously mentally ill. Monitor and track supplies required to provide services. Obtain releases from patients to request and obtain records from patient's previous treatment providers. Serve as a member of various committees within the medical unit and facility, as necessary. Participate in all in-service education programs according to the annual in-service calendar. Maintain confidentiality at ALL times. Any/all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or delegated.

Hourly rate range $22.00 - $25.00 Single and Family health care offered (i.e., medical / prescription / dental / vision). Company-paid life insurance provided & additional insurance benefits offered. Paid time off will accrue for a maximum accrual of thirteen (13) days (or 104 hours) per year. In addition, you will also receive six (6) floating holidays, pro-rated within your first year of employment as dictated by your effective hire date.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or other related Human Services degrees with a concentration in mental health course work is required. A minimum of one (1) year clinical experience is preferred.
