How you'll contribute A Pharmacy Technician who excels in this role: Fills orders with correct medications. Delivers medications to patient care areas and automated dispensing machines accurately and timely. Procures pharmaceutical and related supplies per contractual terms. Maintains appropriate pharmacy inventory levels Prepares pharmaceutical preparations including unit-dosing medication and properly labeling any dispensed medications. Processes records of medication and equipment dispensed to patient, computes charges, and enters data in computer. Generates required reports (e.g., pick list, expiring medications). Maintains temperature and environmental monitoring logs appropriately. Prioritizes work (e.g., stats made first). Restocks shelves and rotates stock. Properly disposes of non-recyclable items. Maintains refrigerator temperature and other quality assurance logs. Receives and stores incoming supplies. Counts stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records. Returns medications to stock and rotates stock. Organizes and maintains pharmacy related documents. Maintains clean and sanitary pharmacy department. Collaborates with Director of Pharmacy to ensure department needs are met and departmental goals are achieved. Maintains security of the pharmacy. Maintains security of controlled substances. Performs other duties as assigned. What we're looking for Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent (required).Additional requirements include:
Current State Certification/Licensure as required by state. CPR and De-escalation Certification required within 30 days of hire Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with medical and administrative staff as well as patients and families in an assertive, professional manner. Basic understanding of the role and use of a computer in the processing of prescription orders with word processing skills Self-motivated, Self-directed with excellent organizational skills Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously Good math and science skills Good stress coping skills More about Carrollton Springs Carrollton Springs is a 78-bed behavioral health hospital offering exceptional care to the Carrollton, TX community.
