Job Description

Alumni Healthcare Staffing seeks a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible OB/GYN Physician for a locum tenens assignment in Michigan. Provide inpatient and outpatient women's health care, including prenatal care, deliveries, gynecologic surgeries, and on-call coverage. Collaborate with nursing and support teams to ensure safe, evidence-based care and accurate documentation. This role offers flexible scheduling, competitive compensation, and malpractice coverage while serving diverse patient populations. Responsibilities Provide inpatient and outpatient OB/GYN care, including prenatal, labor and delivery, and postpartum services Perform gynecologic surgeries and in-office procedures as credentialed Participate in call coverage for deliveries and obstetric/gynecologic emergencies Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop evidence-based treatment plans Document all encounters, procedures, and orders accurately in the medical record Collaborate with nurses, mid-level providers, and hospital staff to coordinate care Adhere to hospital policies, clinical guidelines, and regulatory requirements Communicate clearly with patients and families regarding diagnoses and treatment options Ensure appropriate handoffs and continuity of care between providers Maintain licensure, certifications, and hospital privileges throughout the assignment Required Skills Obstetrics and gynecology clinical care Labor and delivery management Cesarean section and gynecologic surgery Fetal monitoring and obstetric ultrasound interpretation Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation Emergency obstetric care Contraception and family planning services Patient counseling and education Hospital and clinic workflow management Compliance with clinical and regulatory standards
