The Certified Midwife will join a collaborative Labor and Delivery service that supports patients throughout childbirth, recovery, and postpartum care. Reporting to the appropriate women's services or nursing leadership, the Certified Midwife will receive support from experienced leaders, friendly nurses, physicians, advanced practice providers, and a diverse healthcare professional team. Key responsibilities include assessing maternal and fetal health, managing labor, attending deliveries within scope of practice, coordinating postpartum services, educating families, documenting care, and responding to changing clinical needs. The Midwife will contribute to quality improvement, patient safety, care coordination, and respectful communication across the multidisciplinary team.
