A Music Therapist directs and coordinates recreational activities for people with disabilities or illness to help them improve their emotional and physical well-being, improve motor skills and increase confidence. Leads activities involving music, instruments, and sound. Assists patients with disabilities to learn to use public resources such as parks and public transportation, and integrate in the community. Works with people of all ages, in schools, nursing homes, clinics and other healthcare facilities, or in parks and recreation departments.

Job Stability:
Once a full time caseload is established (typically within 6 months) this becomes a salaried, employee position that provides regular compensation to our staff, regardless of the number of cancellations or the type of work completed. Founded by a

This position offers an environment and benefits package created by a therapist for therapists.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Providing individual and group music therapy sessions Assessing client needs and developing individualized treatment plans Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team Maintaining professional and HIPAA-compliant documentation Traveling to client locations throughout the community

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Music Therapy Board Certified Music Therapist Minimum 2 years of professional experience preferred Strong professional and HIPAA-compliant note-taking practice Proficient in music skills including keyboard, voice, and guitar (audition required) Experience working within and supporting like-minded teams Experience working with people in group and individual therapy sessions Strong written and verbal communication skills Must have a reliable car, clean driving record, and proof of current auto insurance Excellent time management and punctuality habits
Preferred:
