Key Qualifications:

Current certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (ARRT-N or NMTCB). Proven experience in preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic imaging. In-depth knowledge of nuclear medicine imaging protocols, radiation safety procedures, and equipment operation. Strong communication skills for clear interaction with patients and interdisciplinary teams. Attention to detail with a steadfast commitment to accuracy in imaging and recordkeeping. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities:

Perform a variety of nuclear medicine procedures, including PET, SPECT, and general imaging, as ordered by physicians. Prepare, calculate, and administer radionuclides following strict safety guidelines. Explain procedures to patients, addressing any concerns to ensure comfort and cooperation. Monitor patients during imaging, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols. Maintain accurate patient records, documenting all administered doses and procedural details. Operate sophisticated imaging equipment and troubleshoot minor technical issues when necessary. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret results and contribute to patient care planning.
