Responsibilities Provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care for inpatient surgical and procedural cases as part of the anesthesia care team Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments, obtain histories, and develop anesthesia plans in collaboration with anesthesiologists and surgeons Administer and monitor anesthesia, manage airways, hemodynamics, fluids, and pain control throughout procedures Provide post-anesthesia care, including emergence, pain management, and handoff to recovery or inpatient teams Respond to emergencies and rapid response situations, including airway management and resuscitation Document all aspects of anesthesia care accurately in the electronic medical record Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure patient-centered, culturally competent care Participate in quality, safety, and performance-improvement initiatives within the anesthesia service line Maintain compliance with hospital, state, and federal regulations, policies, and clinical standards Engage in ongoing education, training, and skills development to support advanced, evidence-based practice Required Skills Anesthesia administration Preoperative assessment Airway management Intraoperative monitoring Post-anesthesia care Regional and neuraxial anesthesia (where credentialed) Hemodynamic and ventilator management Advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) Electronic medical record documentation Interdisciplinary teamwork
