Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP): Psychiatry & Neurology Excel Trading LLC dba Revive Mind Modesto, CA Job Details Full-time $114,666.30 - $138,092.75 a year 22 hours ago Qualifications Collaborate with healthcare professionals Drug-drug interaction analysis Psychiatry RN License Care documentation Outpatient experience Drug therapy monitoring Nurse Practitioner (NP) Medical treatment knowledge DEA License Advanced practice provider Medication therapy management (MTM) PMHNP Full Job Description Responsibilities Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits Diagnose and manage common psychiatric and behavioral health conditions Psychiatric medication management, including monitoring efficacy and adverse effects Evaluate patients with overlapping psychiatric and neurological symptoms Obtain detailed psychiatric, neurological, medical, and medication histories Perform appropriate mental-status and focused neurological examinations Develop and document individualized treatment plans Review laboratory studies, imaging, EEG, and other diagnostic information when applicable Identify patients who require physician evaluation, emergency assessment, or a higher level of care Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, primary-care providers, facilities, caregivers, and other members of the treatment team Maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality clinical documentation Participate in treatment planning for patients receiving advanced neuropsychiatric therapies, including TMS, when appropriate Interest in learning and participating in emerging treatments in psychiatry and neurology is strongly encouraged Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Active and unrestricted California RN and Nurse Practitioner licenses Current PMHNP certification California furnishing/prescriptive authority as applicable Active DEA registration or ability to obtain prior to beginning prescribing responsibilities Strong knowledge of psychiatric medications, drug interactions, monitoring, and appropriate prescribing practices Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively with physicians Ability to manage a diverse outpatient psychiatric population Preferred Qualifications Prior outpatient psychiatry experience 2+ years of experience as a PMHNP preferred Experience or strong interest in neurology/neuropsychiatry Experience with depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, cognitive disorders, sleep disorders, and other neuropsychiatric conditions Familiarity with TMS or other interventional psychiatric treatments is a plus but not required Experience reviewing EEG, neuropsychological testing, or neurological diagnostic studies is a plus Experience with Medicare, commercial insurance, prior authorization, and clinical documentation requirements is helpful California
