Full Job Description Job Description:
Our private primary pediatric practice is seeking a dedicated pediatric nurse practitioner to join us. We are a well-established, physician-owned private practice in North Haven, CT. Established in 1995, our collaborative group of 4 Pediatricians, 4 APRNs, and 2 Social Workers delivers personalized, high-quality pediatric care in a warm, patient-centered environment.
Schedule & Balance Work Week:
Full-time schedule (minimum 3-4 days per week preferred).
Hours:
Preferred 8:00 AM
•4:00 PM or 9:00 AM
•5:00 PM, with 1 late day per week (10:30 AM to close).
Saturdays & Call:
Rotating 1:7 Saturday schedule (8:30 AM
•5:00 PM, with additional session pay). Light practice-only phone call coverage rotated 1 night per week and 1 weekend in 7.
Patient Volume:
Manageable volume of 15-20 patients per day with generous 15-minute standard slots and 30-minute slots for physicals/complex care.
Scope of Practice Comprehensive Pediatric Care:
Outpatient primary care for patients from newborn to age 23.
Outpatient Setting:
100% outpatient-based clinical care with basic in-office procedures.
On-Site Resources:
Access to an on-site lactation consultant (APRN), two part-time social workers, allergy testing, and point-of-care lab testing.
Support Staff:
Exceptionally well-supported environment with roughly 1 MA per physician or APRN, dedicated triage nurses handling calls, and LPNs administering immunizations. Qualifications Board Certification Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or a seasoned FNP with 2 years of pediatric experience in a pediatric practice. Active or eligible for Connecticut PNP or FNP licensure.
Compensation & Premier Benefits Base Salary:
Starting range of $120,000 (commensurate with experience), plus extra pay for Saturday sessions.
Time Off:
4 weeks of PTO (increases with tenure) plus 2 weeks of sick leave and 6.5 paid holidays.
Health & Insurance:
Employer-provided medical insurance, plus life and disability insurance.
Retirement:
401(k) with a 3% match.
CME:
Time plus allowance.
Additional Coverages:
Malpractice insurance covered, state license and DEA reimbursement provided.
