A Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner provides mental health and nursing care to patients with psychiatric disorders, medical organic brain disorders or substance abuse problems. Diagnoses mental illness, develops treatment plans and prescribes medications. Teaches patient's family about the patient's condition. Works at hospitals with dedicated mental health unit, fully dedicated psychiatric hospital or in independent practice working from nursing homes and physicians' offices.

Job Description
Psychiatric-Certified Nurse Practitioner:
Roles | Responsibilities Provide Medication Management services to Pediatric, Adolescent, and Adult patients in an outpatient setting. Work and collaborate with a team of behavioral health clinicians including Psychiatrists, APPs, Psychologists, Therapists, and full office support staff to provide optimal patient outcomes. Provide TMS Therapy to appropriate patients. Visit length may vary based on clinical care, individual cases, and individual patients. Initial Evals = 60 min / Initial Med Mgmt = 40 min / Med Mgmt = 20-30 min.Days / Hours
