Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment across diverse clinical settings. This role offers an opportunity to collaborate with healthcare professionals in delivering exceptional patient care, utilizing advanced clinical skills, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. The Nurse Practitioner will serve as a vital link in providing accessible, efficient, and compassionate medical services within our organization. Responsibilities Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status and identify medical issues. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers. Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state regulations, including controlled substances under DEA guidelines. Perform procedures such as suturing, IV insertion, catheterization, and basic life support interventions as needed. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) accurately to ensure comprehensive medical documentation and compliance with HIPAA standards. Provide patient education on health promotion, disease prevention, medication administration, and lifestyle modifications. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams across specialties such as gastroenterology, critical care, behavioral health, geriatrics, and emergency medicine. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with certification from an accredited program (e.g., ANCC or AANP). Demonstrated experience working in diverse clinical environments including hospital medicine, emergency room, ICU, or outpatient clinics. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks; experience with Athenahealth is a plus. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, diagnostic evaluation, and pharmacology. Experience performing procedures such as venipuncture, sterile processing techniques, spinal taps, and dermal fillers is desirable. Familiarity with CPT coding for billing purposes and ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10). Background in telehealth services and acute care settings is advantageous; experience working with vulnerable populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, or individuals with disabilities is preferred. Pay:
