- APP - Emergency Medicine
Location:
Syracuse, New York- Seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join an established Emergency Department in Syracuse, New York.

- Obtain comprehensive medical histories and perform physical examinations.
- Order and evaluate appropriate diagnostic tests.
- Administer treatments and monitor patient conditions.
- Prescribe medications as appropriate.
- Assist Emergency Physicians with patient care and procedures.
- Counsel and educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and follow-up care.
- Respond effectively to emergency situations and assume a leadership role when necessary.
- Maintain quality, safety, and infection-control standards. Requirements
- Current New York State certification/registration as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- 5+ years of NP/PA experience preferred, but not required.
- Current BLS, ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications.
- Completion of annual NIHSS and stroke CME.
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations and establish a leadership role when needed.
- Knowledge of current and emerging trends in technologies, techniques, issues, and approaches within the area of expertise.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain quality, safety, and infection-control standards.
- Knowledge of health promotion, health-risk identification, and patient education principles and techniques. Compensation & Benefits
Salary:
$88,000-$150,000, depending on experience.
