Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner - Part-time (3 days a week) Make an impact where your expertise matters most. Every day, you'll care for patients with serious mental illness, substance use disorders, acute psychiatric crises, and complex behavioral health needs—providing treatment that can change lives while working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team. Armor Health is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide comprehensive psychiatric care at the Blair County Jail in Hollisdayburg, PA. This role is ideal for an experienced Psych NP who enjoys practicing at the top of their license, managing complex psychiatric conditions, and making meaningful clinical decisions in a collaborative correctional healthcare environment. What You'll Do As our Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner , you will: Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments Diagnose and treat a wide range of psychiatric disorders Provide medication management and psychopharmacology services Develop individualized psychiatric treatment plans Evaluate patients experiencing acute psychiatric crises, suicidality, psychosis, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, PTSD, and substance use disorders Conduct follow-up psychiatric visits and medication monitoring Collaborate closely with behavioral health professionals, nursing staff, physicians, and custody personnel Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning for high-risk patients Review medical and psychiatric histories to support accurate diagnosis and continuity of care Document care using electronic medical records in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards Support behavioral health initiatives that improve patient outcomes within a correctional setting What We're Looking For Required Current PA license as a Nurse Practitioner Current CPR certification Experience providing psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and treatment planning Proficiency with electronic medical records Ability to successfully complete a background investigation and drug screening Preferred Experience in correctional psychiatry Experience in inpatient psychiatry Experience in community mental health Experience treating serious mental illness (SMI) Experience with crisis intervention and substance use disorders Why Correctional Psychiatry?
