Nurse Practitioner - Outpatient Behavioral Health •Must have License in Wisconsin and Illinois• About Us We operate a network of evidence-based outpatient programs for adults with mental-health conditions. Our multidisciplinary teams deliver compassionate, data-driven care at several locations across the United States. ________________________________ Role Summary The Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides direct psychiatric and medical care—including comprehensive assessments, medication management, and ongoing treatment planning—for clients enrolled in our PHP, IOP, and outpatient levels of care. You'll collaborate closely with therapists, case managers, and peer-support staff to ensure integrated, trauma-informed, whole-person treatment. ________________________________ Key Responsibilities Clinical Care Perform psychiatric evaluations, physical assessments, and risk screenings Diagnose mental-health and SUD conditions; develop individualized treatment plans Initiate and manage psychotropic medications and FDA-approved MAT (e.g., buprenorphine, naltrexone) Order/interpret labs, EKGs, and other diagnostics; coordinate outside specialty referrals Team Collaboration Participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds and case conferences Provide clinical consultation to counselors and nursing staff; ensure continuity of care at transitions Contribute to performance-improvement and peer-review activities Regulatory & Compliance Maintain accurate, timely EMR documentation in accordance with Joint Commission, HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and state regulations Support quality-assurance, diversion-control, and infection-control initiatives Patient & Family Engagement Educate clients and families on diagnoses, medications, side effects, and relapse-prevention strategies Promote a recovery-oriented, stigma-free environment ________________________________
Minimum Qualifications Licensure:
Unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in [state] with prescriptive authority (or eligibility within 60 days)
Certification:
ANCC or AANP board-certified; Psychiatric-Mental Health NP (PMHNP-BC) strongly preferred
Experience:
≥ 1 year providing psychiatric and/or addiction-medicine services (new graduates with strong SUD rotations considered) Familiarity with MAT protocols and DSM-5 criteria
Compliance:
DEA Schedule II-V registration; DATA 2000/X-waiver or ability to obtain (if required)
Skills:
EMR proficiency, motivational interviewing, culturally-competent care, and strong inter-professional communication ________________________________ Preferred Qualifications Experience in partial-hospitalization or intensive-outpatient settings Adolescent behavioral-health experience
BLS/ACLS
