Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical histories to determine health status. Diagnose acute and chronic conditions across various specialties such as internal medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, emergency medicine, and behavioral health. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans incorporating medication management, procedures like suturing and patient education. Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans and ensure compliance with healthcare standards such as HIPAA and NCQA standards. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems using eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of patient encounters and medical records. Skills Extensive experience working with diverse patient populations including children, seniors in assisted living or nursing homes, and individuals with disabilities or complex medical needs. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems. Skilled in performing advanced procedures including suturing Strong knowledge of pharmacology for medication administration and pain management strategies including acute pain management techniques. Knowledge of CPT coding and ICD coding (ICD-9/10) for accurate billing and documentation; understanding of Workers' Compensation law is advantageous. Excellent communication skills for patient education on topics like family planning or nutrition; capable of working with individuals with developmental disabilities or memory care needs.
