This is a focused inpatient opportunity for an APP with a Hospital Medicine background who enjoys managing patients through the critical period between Emergency Department evaluation and final disposition. You'll work a consistent 8:30 AM-8:30 PM day shift , approximately 10 shifts per month , with a daytime census capped at 12 patients . There are no night shifts and no night call . The assignment begins around November 1, 2026 and is expected to provide approximately 2-6 months of coverage . + APP staffing model Epic EMR Prior Epic experience not required November start The Clinical Role This isn't traditional ED fast-track coverage, nor is it a conventional inpatient rounding assignment. You'll care for patients placed into hospital observation status following Emergency Department evaluation , providing continued assessment, diagnostic evaluation, treatment, monitoring, and disposition planning. The current observation model is designed around patients who require additional care and clinical decision-making but may not require full inpatient admission.
