Job Description
Job Summary Provide a safe, loving, Christian, nurturing experience for children in the nursery in compliance with the church's Ministry Safe Policy, while building relationships with each child's family members/ guardians. Responsibilities Engage children in age-level activities in the nursery, including incorporating Christian music and Bible stories when appropriate. Check children in and out as they arrive & are picked up by their parents or guardians. Cooperate with other nursery staff, nursery volunteers, Safety Team members, and the Children's Director to meet the needs of the children. Attend to the needs of every child for feeding, diaper change, bathroom breaks, or first aid. Build relationships with each child's family members/guardians during check-in and check-out time each week. Maintain a safe and healthy environment by keeping the nursery clean and orderly. Clean and sanitize toys and all surfaces before leaving. Remove the trash and replace it with an empty trash bag when leaving. Qualifications Must be dependable and responsible. Clear background check and good references. Must have reliable transportation. Minimum 2 years' experience caring for young children required . CPR-certified. Professional presence.
