• Shift is Thursday 2:00pm-10:30pm, Friday-Monday 6:00am-2:30pm.

Northbound Treatment Services is a Detox and Residential substance abuse treatment facility that is accredited by The Joint Commission . We are looking for Full and Part Time Medical Assistants or LVNs who have a passion for the behavioral health field and embody our core values: compassionate, authentic, accountable, and courageous! The Behavioral Health Nurse provides care in a caring, safe and efficient manner according to program standards, procedures and individualized resident care plans.

Responsibilities :

Assists with patient evaluation upon admission; communicates with the attending physician and follows Healthcare Provider's orders. Performs withdrawal and medication side effect assessments, vital signs, respiration rate assessments. Assures medications are self-administered. Follows detoxification and medication protocols, transcribes medication orders Maintain safe resident living areas and support residents in recovery supportive environment Collaborates with physicians, case managers and therapists

Requirements :

CA CNA or EMT License or Medical Assistant Certificate CPR and First Aid Certificates Valid California Class C Driver's License Competencies :

Knowledge

• Basic ability to communicate and comprehend; ability to measure and comprehend certain quantities; knowledge of basic medical assisting skills; knowledge and familiarity with the therapeutic effects and side effects of all medications administered; graduate of an accredited school of nursing or medical assisting or related field Basic Abilities
• Ability to meet the physical and mental abilities of the job as outlined in the Job Description; must be able to speak read and write in English and be able to articulate clearly and audibly; ability to meet conditions of employment applicable to the center/campus. Prior Experience
• Prior work experience in like or related position may be helpful but not a requirement #LP123
