Caregiver / CNA EverBlossom Staffing LLC Santa Ana, CA Job Details PRN | Per diem $18 - $25 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Paid training Paid orientation Flexible schedule Paid sick time Qualifications CPR Certification Vital signs Meal preparation CNA Bathing assistance Full Job Description We are a small agency, and the person who runs it is still on a floor. EverBlossom Staffing places caregivers and CNAs into licensed assisted living, memory care, board and care, and skilled nursing communities across Orange County, Los Angeles County, and the Inland Empire. Jhoana Salmi is our founder. She is an LVN and a working Health Services Director who manages a large community right now, today, while you are reading this. She has done the work you do. She knows what a short staffed floor feels like at 3 in the morning, what a family expects when they walk in, and honestly, how badly some agencies treat the people doing the actual care. That is why she started this one. What we will tell you straight We are newer and we are still building our facility relationships. We are not going to promise you forty hours a week we cannot deliver, and we are not going to send you to an address and wish you luck. When we know what work exists, we will tell you. When we do not, we will tell you that too. If you want an agency that answers the phone and knows your name, that is the trade we are offering. Two rates, more shifts If you hold a CNA certificate, you can work both CNA assignments and caregiver assignments. You earn the CNA rate on CNA shifts and the caregiver rate on caregiver shifts. That is not a step down, it is simply more openings available to you than someone holding one credential. Plenty of communities run it exactly this way, including the one Jhoana manages. Pay Caregiver, $19.00 to $22.00 an hour. CNA, $23.00 to $25.00 an hour. On top of your base rate. Evening shifts pay 7.5 percent more. Night shifts pay 15 percent more. Weekends pay an extra $2.00 an hour. Holidays pay time and a half. Pick up a shift on short notice and there is a bonus on top of all of it. Overtime is paid properly. Time and a half after 8 hours in a day and after 40 in a week. Double time after 12 hours in a day. If you work a seventh straight day, that is paid at the premium rate too. We track it and we pay it, and we do not need you to catch it for us. How we treat you You are a W2 employee of EverBlossom Staffing, not a 1099 contractor. We withhold your taxes. You accrue paid sick leave. You are covered by our workers compensation from your very first paid hour. Every training we require is paid at your hourly rate, arranged by us, and completed after you are hired. It is never unpaid homework you do on your own time before we will talk to you. You get your meal and rest breaks. If a community ever makes that difficult, you call us the same day and we handle it. That is our job, not yours, and nobody here gets in trouble for saying so. Weekly pay. Direct deposit. What you would be doing Personal care and activities of daily living. Bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility and transfers. Meals and feeding assistance. Vitals and documentation. Being a calm, familiar presence for residents who may be confused, frightened, or having a hard day. CNAs may also be assigned to skilled nursing communities within scope of your certification.
WHAT YOU NEED
For CNA assignments A current California CNA certificate, active on the CDPH registry. We verify it, so you do not need to hunt for a copy just to apply. For caregiver assignments Home Care Aide registration with CDSS, and the 40 hour RCFE direct care training certificate. If you are a CNA, the 40 hour RCFE training does not apply to you. California law exempts CNAs, LVNs and RNs under Health and Safety Code 1569.625. Please do not skip applying because you do not have that certificate. We see this constantly and it costs good people jobs they are qualified for. Everyone 18 or older, legally authorized to work in the United States. Current TB clearance within the last 12 months, or willing to get one. Current CPR or BLS card from an in person skills check. Reliable transportation and a phone you actually answer. Willing to complete a background check after we make you a conditional offer, never before. Experience in assisted living, memory care, or skilled nursing is what we are looking for. If you are newer to this and you are steady and kind, tell us anyway.

A NOTE ON BACKGROUND CHECKS
We do not ask about criminal history anywhere in this posting, on our application, or in your interview.
