Job Description

Founded as Boulder Hospice in 1976, TRU Community Care is a nonprofit healthcare organization serving Boulder, Denver, and surrounding counties. With a mission to affirm life at every step of the journey with illness and loss, TRU provides a continuum of care through TRU Hospice, TRU PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly), TRU Palliative Care, TRU Grief Services, and Landmark Memory Care.
Title:
Hospice CNA Pay:
$23.29 to $25.40 per hour
Sign-On Bonus:
$3,000, fully paid within 12 months
Location:
Brighton and Louisville area; travel to patient homes and facilities required
Schedule:
Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.
JOB SUMMARY
We are hiring a Hospice CNA to provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to hospice patients in their homes, facilities, and community settings. This role supports patients with daily care needs while helping promote comfort, dignity, safety, and quality of life. The Hospice CNA works closely with the interdisciplinary hospice team and follows each patient's plan of care. This is a patient-facing role with regular local travel throughout the assigned service area.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide personal care to hospice patients as outlined in the plan of care Assist with daily care needs while maintaining patient comfort, safety, privacy, and dignity Support patient and family goals, preferences, cultural needs, and spiritual beliefs Assist with transferring, positioning, and mobility using appropriate equipment and safe body mechanics Recognize and report changes in patient condition, symptoms, or care needs to the supervising nurse Support the interdisciplinary team approach through communication and coordination of care Use non-medical comfort measures to support patients near end of life
QUALIFICATIONS
Current Colorado CNA license required 1+ year of CNA experience preferred High school diploma or GED required Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance required Ability to travel locally to patient homes and facilities Must comply with agency health screening and immunization requirements TRU's Benefits (Eligibility Varies by Position/Status): Paid Vacation time 401(k) with match Health, dental, vision & life insurance
