Pay:
$27/hr (For Local) & $30/hr (For Traveller) Duties Deliver direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other transfer methods. Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature; document findings accurately in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Support patients with specialized needs such as dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and those requiring hospice or palliative services. Administer medications and perform basic medical procedures following HIPAA guidelines and aseptic techniques to maintain patient safety and confidentiality. Assist healthcare teams by preparing patients for procedures in medical-surgical units, ICU, emergency departments, or outpatient clinics; including phlebotomy and specimen collection when qualified. Maintain thorough medical documentation and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards. Use EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks to update patient records promptly and accurately. Support safe patient transfers utilizing proper manual handling techniques; operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care delivery across various settings including hospital medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, and sub-acute care environments. Experience Proven experience working as a Certified Nursing Assistant in diverse healthcare settings such as hospitals (including Level I Trauma Centers), long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, or home care environments. Critical care experience in ICU or emergency medicine settings is highly desirable. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner is preferred; experience managing medical records and documentation is essential. Prior experience with specialized patient populations including those with developmental disabilities, infectious diseases, or requiring dementia/memory care is advantageous. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS/CPR) certifications are required to ensure safe patient handling and effective caregiving. Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices; experience working with geriatric patients or individuals with disabilities is a plus. Strong caregiver communication skills combined with a compassionate approach to patient service across inpatient or outpatient settings are essential for success in this role.
