Job Description

Nursery Attendant Nursery Attendant 2 hours/ week: Sunday mornings 9:30-11:30
Pay:
$19/hour PURPOSE The Nursery Attendant is responsible for providing a caring and safe environment for children during the worship hour. The Nursery Attendant will report to the Nursery Director.
REQUIRED SKILLS/STRENGTHS
Ability to supervise children ages 6 months - 5 years. Personality that exhibits warmth, compassion and a nurturing spirit. Demonstrated creative thinking skills; organized, responsible and responsive. Must be a team player with flexibility. Childcare background preferred; experience with children with disabilities is encouraged.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
Provide care and supervision for infants - pre-school aged children. Engaging children of all ages and abilities in age appropriate play. Assist Director of Nursery in management of the nursery room. Assist Director of Nursery in maintaining a clean environment; ensuring the nursery and toys are clean prior to children arriving and after departure.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain regular communication with Nursery Director, informing of needed absences well in advance. This position will require a minimum of 2 hours weekly.
