Sundays, 9:30 AM-11:30AM Pay:
$18-20 per hour based upon experienceLocation:
Church of Christ, Congregational Position Summary The Sunday School Nursery Attendant is responsible for providing a safe, caring, and welcoming environment for infants and toddlers during the Sunday worship service while their parents/guardians attend the service. Responsibilities- Supervise and care for infants and toddlers during Sunday worship services.
- Provide attentive, loving, and age-appropriate care to each child.
- Monitor children to ensure their safety and well-being at all times.
- Comfort and attend to children's basic needs, including diapering, feeding, and soothing, as appropriate.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized nursery environment.
- Follow the church's child safety, check-in/check-out, emergency, and illness policies.
- Communicate with parents/guardians regarding their child's needs or any concerns that arise.
- Collaborate effectively with the Christian Education Committee, Church Staff and Nursery Volunteers to ensure a safe, welcoming, positive experience for children and families.
- Maintain appropriate confidentiality regarding children and families.
- Participate in any required orientation or child-safety training. Qualifications
- Enjoys working with infants and toddlers and demonstrates patience, kindness, and good judgment.
- Dependable and able to consistently work Sunday mornings from 9:30 AM-11:30 AM.
- Able to provide attentive supervision and respond appropriately to children's needs.
- Previous experience caring for infants and toddlers is preferred but not required.
- Must successfully complete a background check before beginning employment.
- Must agree to follow all church child-protection and safety policies.
- Be willing to comply with any additional screening or training requirements established by the church.
