We are dedicated to providing a positive experience for our patients, so The Florida Eye Clinic is seeking a professional, positive, and team-oriented individual to join our family as a Spanish Speaking CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) for our Altamonte Springs location.

WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE

The CNA assists licensed nursing personnel in the pre and post operative care of the patient by performing routine and delegated tasks. They are a member of the Ambulatory Surgery Center reporting directly to the Director of Surgery and interacting cooperatively with physicians and other personnel.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Spanish Speaking Be certified as a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant (highly preferred) Have prior work experience as a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant (desired)

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

1. Supports the philosophy, goals and objectives of the Organization. 2. Contributes to the progress and development of the Organization's adopted Quality Management Program. 3. Communicates effectively with patients, visitors, physicians and co-workers. 4. Adheres to safety policies and procedures in job duties and responsibilities. 5. Obtain patients clearance, pre-op for surgery the next day to include reviewing medications and collecting payment for the surgery 6.Medical background a plus 7. Obtain patients clearance, review medications, pre-op for surgery center

REQUIRED SKILLS

Aptitudes:

Requires audio and verbal acuity adequate to communicate with co-workers, staff, physicians, patients and visitors. Ability to organize. Ability to problem solve.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to operate a computer Ability to stoop bend walk and stand Patient care activities may require the ability to exert a force of up to 30 lbs constantly, up to 40 lbs occasionally Ability to push and/or pull a wheelchair or stretcher with patient weight for a limited distance.
