Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care, support clinical staff, and ensure the comfort and safety of our diverse patient population. Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices. Monitor and record vital signs accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems. Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide specialized care for patients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments, including memory care techniques. Perform catheter care, wound dressing changes, and aseptic techniques to prevent infection. Support patients in rehabilitation or post-acute settings by assisting with physiotherapy exercises and mobility activities. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in various settings such as hospitals (including ICU, PICU, Level I & II trauma centers), hospices, assisted living facilities, and community clinics to deliver comprehensive patient service. Maintain patient safety by adhering to infection control protocols and practicing basic life support when necessary. Document all patient interactions thoroughly while respecting privacy standards outlined by HIPAA. Assist with medical procedures like phlebotomy or blood draws when trained and certified to do so. Qualifications Valid CNA certification with current state licensure required. Experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including ICU, emergency medicine), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home & community care is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks is advantageous. Experience providing care for individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs is a plus. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting patients safely using Hoyer lifts or other equipment. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams and support patient families. Knowledge of infection control practices related to infectious disease care and hospice environments. Basic life support certification required; additional certifications like CPR are beneficial.
