Job Description
Cumming Nursing Center is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our care team in our skilled nursing facility (SNF). Working under the direction of our licensed nurses, you'll provide hands-on daily care to long-term care and rehabilitation residents — assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility and transfers, and the everyday dignity that makes this a home for the people who live here. Prior nursing home experience is what we're looking for. Schedule — Multiple Shifts Available Part-time — Day shift Full-time — Evening (Eve) shift Part-time — Night shift Includes weekend rotation. On-site at 2775 Castleberry Rd, Cumming, GA 30040. Compensation $18.00-$20.00 per hour (based on experience and shift) $3.00 per hour weekend shift differential Multiple shift options to fit your schedule (day, evening, night) Supportive nursing team and hands-on training Key Responsibilities Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding Safely perform transfers and ambulation using gait belts and mechanical (Hoyer) lifts Take and record vital signs and report changes in resident condition to the charge nurse Reposition and provide skin care to prevent pressure injuries Answer call lights promptly and respond to resident needs with patience and respect Document care accurately per facility and long-term care (LTC) requirements Follow infection control and PPE protocols on every shift Prioritize quality of care over rushing through tasks Required Qualifications Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing on the Georgia Nurse Aide Registry Prior nursing home / skilled nursing facility experience Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) Ability to follow care plans and work under the direction of licensed nursing staff Must pass a background check, drug screen, and TB test, and meet immunization requirements for long-term care Preferred Qualifications Experience with long-term care and rehab resident populations Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR), such as PointClickCare Restorative or memory care experience Dependable, reliable attendance across weekend and holiday rotations Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods throughout the shift Ability to lift and transfer residents using proper technique and mechanical lifts Manual dexterity for personal care tasks Adequate vision and hearing to monitor resident needs Ability to wear PPE for extended periods
