Duties Provide hands-on patient care including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance using proper manual handling and safe lifting practices such as Hoyer lifts and transfer methods Monitor and record vital signs accurately while maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, medication administration under supervision, and basic life support (CPR) when necessary Support patients with specialized needs including dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities Document patient information precisely using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks; ensure all medical records are complete and up-to-date Maintain infection control standards through aseptic techniques and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in infectious disease or ICU environments Collaborate effectively with nursing staff and caregivers to coordinate patient transfers, assist with patient service activities, and ensure smooth communication across teams Experience Prior experience working in medical-surgical units, long-term care facilities, nursing homes, or assisted living communities is highly desirable Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR required.
