Join the Center for Orthopedics and Sports Medicine as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where you'll play an important role in supporting patients throughout their surgical experience. You'll work closely with nurses, providers, and the interdisciplinary care team to provide compassionate, efficient care to orthopedic patients before and after surgery. Join the Center for Orthopedics and Sports Medicine as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where you'll play an important role in supporting patients throughout their surgical experience. You'll work closely with nurses, providers, and the interdisciplinary care team to provide compassionate, efficient care to orthopedic patients before and after surgery. Schedule Full-time, four 10-hour shifts per week (Monday-Friday). Variable days off, with start times between 5:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. No weekends, holidays, nights, or call. What You Can Expect Provide direct patient care and support for primarily pre- and post-surgical patients Fast-Paced environment Obtain and document vital signs and assist with routine patient-care needs Perform EKGs; training will be provided Assist with patient preparation and recovery following surgical procedures Support pre-admission testing (PAT) and cross-train in this area approximately once per month Complete minimal charting and documentation related to patient care Collaborate with nurses, providers, and other members of the care team Build strong relationships with patients while providing compassionate, efficient, and respectful care Qualifications Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification Current CPR/BLS certification required Preferred Qualifications Med/Surg experience preferred Previous hospital experience is a plus Experience working with surgical or orthopedic patients is beneficial Why St. Luke's At St. Luke's, we believe our employees are our greatest resource.
