Responsibilities Deliver direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts. Monitor and record vital signs, observe patient conditions, and report changes promptly to nursing staff. Support patients with specialized needs including Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, and behavioral health challenges. Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, medication administration under supervision, and basic life support techniques. Maintain accurate medical documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner to ensure seamless communication and compliance. Follow strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to prevent the spread of infectious diseases. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in various settings including hospitals (Level I Trauma Center experience preferred), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, outpatient clinics, and home & community care environments. Requirements Valid CNA certification with current licensure in the state of employment. Experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including ICU or Level II trauma centers), nursing homes, or outpatient clinics. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and safety. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation. Demonstrated ability to work effectively across all shifts—first, second, and third—to meet patient needs around the clock. Critical care experience or background in acute or post-acute care settings is highly desirable. Strong caregiving skills with a focus on geriatrics, pediatrics (experience with children preferred), hospice care, or behavioral health is a plus.
