Job Description

CNA provides compassionate care to residents by assisting with daily care needs and maintaining resident comfort, safety, and dignity in accordance with facility policies and healthcare regulations under the general supervision of a nurse. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Carry out and assist residents in ADL's Follow plan of care as outlined in residents individual care plan Document plan of care as required; vitals, weights, I&O, etc. as outlined by the nursing department Practice proper infection control protocols Documentation is completed timely and accurate Keep residents' room clean and free of clutter Provide transportation to activities and meals as required Carry out resident's individual restorative plans as documented Report all concerns, complaints made by the customer or their family to the appropriate person. Make rounds to assure residents are safe and comfortable Is efficient, minimizes overtime and processes resident charges timely and accurately Maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the department Participates in in-service education as required Maintain professional appearance and demeanor, observes dress code policy Demonstrate honesty and integrity, always does the right thing, is open, forthright, genuine, trustworthy and truthful All other duties as assigned Required Education and Experience 1. Successful completion of a state approved CNA training program 2. Active CNA on the Illinois Health Care Worker Registry 3. Hold or obtain a valid CPR certification 4. Excellent customer services skills 5. Possess a service orientation 6. Must have the ability to work individually and as team
