Job Description

Expected pay for this position is $17.87-$25.02. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required to have completed an approved nurse aide training program, passed the IL Certified Nurse Aide Exam, and be listed on the IL Nurse Aide Registry. Required to have a current CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire date. Required to have a current CPI certification or ability to obtain within 180 days of hire date.
JOB KNOWLEDGE
Is knowledgeable regarding policies and procedures, PPE's, universal precautions, duties during a disaster, and product safety information, all on-line/computer based learning. The patient population must be considered when assessing job knowledge required by the employee.
ABILITIES, INTERESTS AND TEMPERAMENTS
Verbal ability is needed to interpret and understand instructions and to communicate with other caregivers. Numerical ability is needed to correctly tally patient's I & O. Visual acuity is needed to assist and monitor patients. Ability to read and write is needed for documentation on patient records. Ability to adapt and follow directions in a composed manner during emergency situations. Empathy and consideration is needed to deal with patients and their family members.
