Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated, responsible, FULLTIME PERMANENT/LONG TERM STAFF SPANISH SPEAKING
Medical Assistant/CNA/Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to healthcare professionals, ensuring the efficient delivery of patient care. The ideal candidate will also be working some days as Medical Assistant and some days as a receptionist.THIS POSITION REQUIRES EVERY OTHER WEEKEND AVAILABILITY.
Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers in patient examinations and procedures
- Perform medical administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records
- Take and record vital signs accurately
- Administer vaccines/injections under the direction of a physician/provider
- Provide patient education on medications and procedures
- Conduct basic laboratory tests and sterilize medical instruments
- Conduct rapid in lab testing such as covid/flu /strep
- perform venipuncture
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety procedures
- Answering phones at times
- Perform medical administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records as needed
- Checking in and out patients electronically
- Verifying insurance eligibility at times
- Helping answer phones and scheduling patients
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in patient service and medical administrative support
- Knowledge of medical terminologies
- Strong understanding of patient care principles
- Familiarity with internal medicine practices
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Needs fluency in Spanish (required) and able to work every other weekends
Qualifications:
- Phlebotomy skills
- Proven experience in patient service and medical administrative support
- Knowledge of outpatient medicine practices and coding procedures
- Strong understanding of patient care principles and physiology
- Familiarity with internal medicine practices
- Proficiency in taking vital signs accurately
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
