Job Description

Position Summary :
In compliance with regulation and company policy, CNA provides hands-on care, in alignment with the resident's care plan, in a safe homelike environment. The CNA is responsible for the direct, quality care for each resident.
Facilitate Enriching Community Environment:
Provides services to residents as directed by the care plan and/or Director of Health & Wellness Reviews and provides input into the resident care plan Reports on the condition of residents to the Wellness team as well as documents in EHR Responds to security system quickly and appropriately and answers call bells immediately, taking appropriate action and resetting call bell Assists with toileting and disposes of incontinence products properly to ensure sanitation Fosters resident rights in each resident interaction Assists residents with ADLs as identified in care plans Implements OSHA standards and safety standards in assisting residents and completing daily work Reports accidents immediately and follows a process for documentation and treatment Understands and practices the proper method of care, disposal, and exposure risk to bloodborne pathogens, bodily fluids, infectious materials, sharp sticks, and hazardous materials Implements universal precautions of cleanliness, hygiene, and health standards Attends regular department/community meetings, cross over meetings and care plan meetings Maintains strict confidentiality of client information in compliance with HIPAA requirements Complies with Infection Control, Standard Precautions, and OSHA standards Ability to work effectively within role independently and with other team members Organize and complete work in a timely manner Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English Ability to understand medical/surgical terminology Models strong belief in mission and core values Active participation in learning each resident's preferences to recognize the change in condition Executes good judgment in the best interest of customers. Explains and educates Effectively resolves resident concerns through consistent problem resolution in alignment with policy Participates in a work safe environment through workplace safety policies including PPE, fire extinguishers, and SDS Contributes to an environment of belonging for residents, families, and employees Models flexibility and professional conduct in adjusting priorities to meet business demands Ensures confidentiality in alignment with HIPAA, state/federal regulations as well as company policy Wash resident laundry as required Complete assigned cleaning tasks Physical Activity & ADA Requirements Standing for 4 to 6 hours at one time within 8 hour day Sitting 1 to 2 hours at one time within 8 hour day May support/assist up to 50 lbs frequently and 150 lbs occasionally May lift/carry 40 lbs frequently and 70 lbs occasionally; the height of 3 to 4 ft for a distance of 30 yds Repetitive use of hands for simple grasping, pushing, and pulling, fine manipulation

Experience & Qualifications:
Enthusiasm for life and adding value to the lives of others High School diploma/ GED required Current CNA licensure Prefer prior experience working with seniors Current CPR, BCLS, and First Aid Certification Strive for excellence. Previous experience focusing on customer service Lead by example in practicing good judgment in relation to confidentiality Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities with success and find joy Great communication skills to interact with various customers in conversations and writing Ability to establish confidence and trust Desire to act like an owner in day-to-day decision-making and problem-solving as well as accountability Demonstrated proficiency with computer programs such as Microsoft Office and the ability to learn specific software Ability to adapt the schedule to work weekends, evenings, and flexible hours to ensure quality customer experience and to meet deadlines
