The CSFA will deal specifically with such tasks as holding retractors, suctioning and sponging the operative site, applying dressings, providing hemostasis and suturing. Services provided by a CSFA may be eligible for reimbursement from the insurance payors, and the CSFA may be required to perform on-call services as needed.
