Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including hospitals, hospice care, and acute care environments. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for patients by assisting with daily living activities and ensuring their comfort and safety. Duties Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating. Provide catheter care and support for patients with special needs. Monitor and document patient vital signs and medical information accurately. Support geriatric patients with mobility and rehabilitation exercises. Maintain patient hygiene and assist with dementia care as needed. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while handling patient information. Collaborate with nursing staff to deliver critical care services effectively. Assist in hospice care by providing emotional support to patients and their families during end-of-life situations. Skills Proficient in catheter care techniques and procedures. Knowledgeable in geriatric care principles and practices. Familiarity with medical documentation systems for accurate record-keeping. Experience in critical care settings is a plus. Understanding of HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Ability to work effectively in hospital environments, adapting to fast-paced situations. Competence in dementia care strategies to support cognitive impairments. Experience in hospice care practices is advantageous for providing compassionate end-of-life support. Strong communication skills to interact positively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
