Job Description

Category CNA- Certified Nursing Assistant Job Type Contract Support a positive learning environment while providing essential care for a young student with significant medical needs. In this full-time opportunity, you will work within a public school setting assisting a kindergarten student who uses a wheelchair and requires a high level of medical support. This contract assignment is for 32.5 hours per week and is expected to run from September through mid-November, with the possibility of extension through the school year.
Schedule:
Full-time, 32.5 hours per week School hours, Monday through Friday Initial contract: September - November (2½ months), potential to extend
Qualifications:
Current CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification required Experience supporting pediatric patients and/or working in a school environment preferred Strong understanding of wheelchair mobility and high acuity, individualized care Ability to collaborate with teachers, school nurses, and families Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor with children CPR certification highly desired
Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one care to a kindergarten student with significant medical needs Assist with mobility, positioning, and activities of daily living Support feeding, toileting, and hygiene needs as directed Monitor the student's medical condition and promptly communicate changes to nurses and staff Promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment Maintain accurate and confidential daily documentation
